Rocket From the Crypt

Last night I saw Rocket From the Crypt for the first time, and it was awesome. I bought Live From Camp X-Ray at Virgin Records in Times Square on a chorus field trip in high school to some musical I don’t think I ended up really enjoying. This was right around the time or just after RFTC played their last shows, so I’ve been late to the game, waiting for such a reunion that’s happening on the east coast this week. More bands like this need to be happening now, it’s almost refreshing in the opposite way to be able to go to a show and jump around and get your face melted by rock ‘n roll, rather than watching people stand around softly playing their instruments like the current musical trend seems to be.

Below are my photos from last night’s show at Bowery Ballroom, and I will update it again with my photos from tonight’s show at the Bell House! A selection of these photos along with a review will also be posted on CMJ’s website and I’ll add a link to that later as well. For now, enjoy!

And now updated for your viewing pleasure, photos of RFTC from The Bell House on 4/3! Same great show, same great flavor!
