Kings Park Psychiatric Center – Part Deux

Posted on February 27, 2016 by

In my last post, I mentioned how I visited Kings Park Psychiatric Center twice last summer. Well I’ve gone back again recently, and I got into two non-patient buildings which I thought were much more interesting. The first was building #6, which was a huge warehouse type building that hosted the power plant remains, and building #57 which was a maintenance/plumbing sort of building. I’ve seen photos of various warehouse buildings with pillars like #6 which I’ve always thought has looked great, and wanted to find a building like that to have photos for myself, and luckily I finally did. Then the maintenance building still with its yellow pipes and interesting power boxes made for some great photos as well. Definitely much more interesting, I think, than the repetitive floors of patient rooms that are trashed with high school graffiti. Take a look at some of my favorites below, and then follow the link to my Flickr for the full set, as well as the other two sets if you missed them!

Check out the full gallery on my Flickr here, and also check out photos of buildings #41 and #93!
